The Journey

About Us

Our name reflects our mission: to offer a supportive therapeutic space where healing can begin through meaningful connection, collaboration, and evidence-based care. By honoring each person as a whole and tailoring treatment to individual needs, we support clients in easing emotional weight and moving toward greater balance, resilience, and well-being.

Whether you are carrying the weight of past experiences, daily stress, or overwhelming emotions, we are honored to support you through a collaborative therapeutic process that respects where you are while encouraging growth. Together, we help you begin to set some of that weight down, explore new ways of understanding yourself, and move toward a greater sense of balance and relief.

Our Team

Our team of licensed mental health providers offers compassionate, judgment-free support grounded in authentic human connection. We work collaboratively to support healing and growth in ways that respect your pace, needs, and values.

Our Vision

At Zero Gravity Counseling, our vision is to create an environment where individuals can begin to set down emotional burdens, explore new perspectives, and move beyond limiting patterns. Through supportive, collaborative care, we empower personal growth, resilience, and meaningful change in ways that honor each person’s unique path.

Our Space

We have done our best to arrange our space in a way that feels calm, welcoming, and comfortable rather than clinical or medical. Our hope is that this environment offers a pause from the day and a moment where you can feel supported as you settle into care.

Hello! I am Lisette Paraiso, a Master of Arts graduate student in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at the University of the Cumberlands. My experience as a School Based Behavior Support (SBBS) Paraprofessional in an intensive classroom setting deepened my understanding of the complex behavioral and mental health needs of school-aged children. This role not only broadened my professional perspective but also strengthened my commitment to supporting the youth and their families with empathy and care.
My personal journey in therapy has further inspired my passion for helping others. I am especially dedicated to supporting military-connected individuals, including active-duty service members, veterans, and their families. Furthermore, as a first-generation Filipino American, my immigrant background shapes my path to care and reinforces my commitment to practicing a culturally responsive and inclusive approach.
I strive to create a welcoming space where each individual feels seen, heard, and respected. My dedication to the “why” behind my work in the mental health field guides me to approach every person with compassion and understanding. I believe that each individual’s experience is unique, and that through collaboration we can work toward meaningful and sustainable improvements. One step at a time.

Our Vision

The concept of Zero Gravity applies to mental health in several ways

Our vision at Zero Gravity Counseling was shaped by the journey of the astronaut. Astronauts do not begin their work in space; they prepare carefully, train with support, and move through challenge, uncertainty, and adjustment before ever experiencing weightlessness. The shift into zero gravity does not erase difficulty, but it changes how the weight is carried and what becomes possible.

In much the same way, we view healing as a process rather than a destination. Life experiences, stress, and past challenges can create a sense of heaviness that limits movement, perspective, and possibility. Our vision is to offer a therapeutic space where individuals can begin to set some of that weight down, explore their experiences with support, and discover new ways of relating to themselves and their lives.

The astronaut for us, symbolizes curiosity, resilience, and adaptation. In zero gravity, perspectives shift and movement looks different. At Zero Gravity Counseling, we aim to support individuals in gently examining long-held patterns, expanding perspective, and building skills that allow for growth and steadiness over time. This process honors that each person’s journey is unique and unfolds at its own rhythm.

We envision therapy as a place where people are supported, challenged thoughtfully, and met with respect. Through collaboration, evidence-based care, and meaningful human connection, we strive to help individuals navigate their experiences with greater understanding, balance, and possibility.
